Every marketing platform ships with a dashboard, and every dashboard is generous with numbers. The result is a strange failure mode: teams that measure everything and decide nothing.
Pick the number the campaign answers to
Before launch, agree on the one metric that defines success and the one or two diagnostics that explain it. Everything else is context — available when needed, invisible otherwise.
A metric you won’t act on is a distraction with a chart.
Reporting as a decision document
Good reporting reads like a memo, not a data export: what happened, why we think so, and what we’re changing next. If a report doesn’t end in a decision, it isn’t finished.
